Snow Policy

UBC Snow Policy 68 outlines how to handle most snow situations.

Information regarding university closures is posted on the UBC home page at www.ubc.ca This website is the authorative site for information. This information may also be communicated to radio station CKNW 980 by 6:00 a.m.  Faculty and students should use these resources to determine if classes are running.

Student Positions

Undergraduate Teaching Assistant Positions

Each term the Department hires undergraduate TAs to mark assignments and assist with scheduled undergraduate labs. To apply, fill out the TA application.

Emergency Disaster Kits

Plan for 72 hours

The department maintains a small number of flash lights, first aid kits, and blankets on hand for emergencies. We do not store water or food in case of longer emergencies. It is recommended that building occupants make personal emergency disaster kits to last for 72 hours.
