I'm an associate professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of British Columbia. I study computational geometry, graph drawing, information theory, data compression, and algorithms in general.
Long ago, I worked on interactive visualization of terrain. Download TopoVista , get some maps from the US GeoData center , and fly around.
I also compressed executable programs. Visit the Alto page to see how to squeeze Alpha executables by an average of 30%.
