Test Network Information

  • Two separate networks running IPv4 and IPv6 with delay, loss and jitter based on 10/100/1000 Mbit/s Ethernet.
  • A separate network with a simulated satellite link and two middle boxes generating drop reports. More detailed information will be provided before the interoperability test.

Internet Access

Plain internet access will be provided via 10/100 MBit/s Ethernet and 802.11g wireless. In addition there will be some computers provided for internet access.

Fees and Registration

Take advantage of the early registration discount and register by June 16th.  The last day for registration is June 30th.

1.     Fee per organization: $600 Canadian

2.     Fee per person (from an organization): $300 Canadian

3.     Academic organizations: $100

4.     Individuals from academic organizations: $100

5.     Please complete the payment form (registration form).  Payment can be by cheque, visa or mastercard and must be received by June 30th.

Schedule

Sunday July 30th (1 PM to 6PM): Arrangements will be made for access to room 348 to allow groups to set-up equipment.

Monday  July 31st – Tuesday August 1st:  8:30 AM until 5PM, SCTP interoperability testing

Wednesday  August 2nd  – Friday August 4th :  8:30 AM until 5PM, SCTP interoperability testing, and in parallel,  RSerPool interoperability testing.

 

Accommodation

A block of 25 rooms is reserved at St. John’s College, a residential college at UBC with an international focus. The room block is from July 29 to August 6. St. John's College offers summer accommodation rooms to academic visitors to UBC in comfortable single rooms furnished with a twin bed and private washroom. Guests dine with College residents; dinner is served Sunday through Thursday and Continental breakfast is served Monday through Friday. (http://www.stjohns.ubc.ca/GuestRooms.stm).

These rooms have been reserved until June 30th!!!  Please book before then.

The room rates listed below are subject to applicable taxes (7% GST and 8% PHT) and the rates include meals.  Meals are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Rates for stay between 5 to 13 nights:

Sunday-Thurs    $72.50/night

Friday-Sat         $56.50/night

 

For reservation, please contact the Front Desk (604-822-6522 or sjc.reception@ubc.ca) directly and let them know that you are coming for the “Inter-Op Meeting”.  Payment may be made by cash, cheque, Interac, Visa or MasterCard and is due on arrival. A Visa or MasterCard number is required to guarantee reservations.  Reservations cancelled less than two working days in advance are subject to a charge of one night accommodation and meals, if applicable.
