UDLS

When people from outside Europe think of the EU, what comes to their mind are open borders and a common currency. EU citizens on the other hand may also think of buerocracy, intransparent democracy and controvercial topics like Brexit, TTIP or the Greek Depression. Instead of giving an overarching history lesson (which could easily be another day's UDLS), I will focus on these recent issues, some of the EU's recent achievements, and how all of this is related to the recent flood of “We've updated our Terms and Conditions“ emails you've received.
