Abstract
The board game “go” is the oldest game in the world still played in its original form. The rules are very simple, but the strategy takes a lifetime to master. This talk will cover some of the history of go, the rules, and hopefully some fun facts along the way. “While the Baroque rules of chess could only have been created by humans, the rules of go are so elegant, organic, and rigorously logical that if intelligent life forms exist elsewhere in the universe, they almost certainly play go.” —Edward Lasker
