Abstract
Ever heard about the man who tried to rob an abbatoir in broad daylight? Using a knife? Well, he soon got cut down to size. In this talk, I’ll discuss one of the more politically incorrect set of awards - the Darwin awards, which are meant for “Honoring those who improve the species by accidentally removing themselves from it!” [sic]. I’ll share some potentially amusing stories of ways people have managed to achieve this and discuss the criteria you need to meet to be a Darwin award winner. A celebration of natural selection, or just plain old schadenfreude? You decide!
