I’ll be talking about amateur racing: starting with a brief history of automobiles and early races, I’ll go into the contemporary sport pretty quickly with a focus on ordinary human events, i.e., not NASCAR or F1 or WRC. I’ll also cover the most common modifications you might want to do to make your vehicle race-ready and note a few extremely obvious examples of what you should not do.
