Abstract
During the period of Warring States in 5th-3rd centuries B.C.E., in the midst of constant warfare, China was undergoing one of the most innovative intellectual periods it would ever see. Contemporary with and just as important as Heraclitus, Socrates and Plato were such people as Confucius, Zhuangzi and Hanfeizi yet few of us know anything about them. Clayton will be presenting an extremely brief introduction to some of these nifty fellows and talking about some of the ways that they’ve been misunderstood in the West.
