PhD student, Department of Computer Science, University of British Columbia
I am a second year PhD student co-supervised by Laks Lakshmanan and Mark Schmidt. My research interests lie in Machine Learning, Data mining, Artificial Intelligence and Computational Neuroscience. Specifically, I am interested in online optimization, multiarmed bandits and its applications to social networks, recommender systems and biology.
I completed my Master's in Computer Science from UBC working under Laks.V.S.Lakshmanan on online and adaptive variants of the influence maximization problem in social networks. Before coming to UBC, I was a research engineer in the parallel systems group at Siemens Corporate Research in Bangalore. I obtained my Bachelors degree in Computer Science from Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani, India.Email: email@example.com
