I am currently working on my Master's degree in Computer Science, under the supervision of Gail Murphy. My research interests lie in software engineering, human-computer interaction, and intelligent assistant system. In the past decades, new software development tools have been invented and made available to developers as plugins integrated to a development environment. However, few researches have been done on how helpful these tools are to developers. And even if these tools are helpful, how many developers would have knowledge and motivation to learn how to use them? Therefore, I would like to investigate how beneficial software development tools are to developers. I would also like to find a way to help software developers deploy the tools available in IDE more efficiently and effectively.
