Pooyan Fazli is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Computer Science at the University of British Columbia. He is a member of the Laboratory for Computational Intelligence and his supervisor is Professor Alan Mackworth.

Currently he is a member of the Graduate Admissions Committee and the Faculty Recruiting Committee of the Department of Computer Science. He was co-organizer of the 2009 and 2010 Semantic Robot Vision Challenge.

Pooyan received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence) in the Department of Computer Science at Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic)
