2011 12x12 Vancouver Photo
    Marathon

I have been taking photos as a hobby since about 2007. I mostly use a Nikon D40, although I have a few 35mm cameras that get occasional use. I have done a bit of medium-format stuff (a Minolta Autocord TLR.) Recently, I won awards in the (2009 and 2011) Vancouver 12x12 Photo Marathon. The photo above (by Cynthia Griffiths) is the "making of" my winning entry for theme 9: Take it to the Grave. Below is a small sample of some of my favourites. See my Flickr photostream for a more complete sample. I also keep a photoblog (not been used in a while) which I use as a journal for practicing and improving specific techniques.
