UBC/SFU programming contest instructionsStep one (UNIX): Open up a terminal. Enter the following commands: mkdir pc2 cd pc2 wget http://www.cs.ubc.ca/~minsk/pc2team.zip unzip pc2team.zip pc2team Step one (Windows): Save pc2team.zip to the folder of your choice. Unzip it. Run pc2team.bat. You will be asked for your team name and password. Your team name and password are the same and can be derived from the team number assigned to you (top right corner of your practice problem sheet). For instance, if your team number is 00007, both your login and password will be "team7". If your team number on the sheet is 00023, your login and password will be "team23". So if you have got the sheet numbered 00001, and you guess that your login and password are both "team1", you should skip to the next paragraph. Please contact any staff should you have any problem on this. Step two: Solve a practice problem and submit it to be judged using PC^2. PC^2 has quite a friendly graphical interface, but if you are not sure about what to click, you can ask for help, or read the surprisingly readable PC^2 manual. For those of you who are participating in a programming contest for the first time, it's HIGHLY recommended that you look at the tutorial before attempting to solve a problem.
