I graduated from the Computer Science department at the University of British Columbia, supervised by Wolfgang Heidrich. My research interests include computational imaging, optimization and machine learning.

I was a visiting researcher at Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems in Germany in 2016 fall working with Michael Hirsch and Bernhard Schölkopf. I did a research internship at Adobe Research Seattle in 2015 fall working with Jue Wang. I travelled to KAUST occasionally in the past few years for research collaboration.

I received B.S. in Biomedical Engineering in 2009 from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in China. I received M.S. in Computer Engineering in 2012 from University of New Mexico in United States, where I worked with Pradeep Sen on compressive sensing and image rendering.
