Here we show the effect of interleaved
sampling on supersampling.
The first image depicts a scene with four samples per pixel and identical sampling patterns for all pixels (Accumulation Buffer approach).
The second image shows the same scene with interleaved sampling and also 4 samples per pixel. The regular structures from the first image have been replaced by irregular noise, which yields a significantly smoother appearance.
