Chickpeas Curry (recipe by Sunita) Ingredients: ------------ 2 cans chickpeas, 1 onion-chopped, 6 cloves garlic - chopped finely 2 tbsp. ginger - preferable fresh (chopped finely) 1 tbsp. cumin (jeera) 2 tbsp. cinnamon 1 tbsp. coriander or garam masala 1 cup cilantro oil, tomato (optional), salt, chillies. Preparation ----------- (1) Add onion and oil to pan and cook onion for about 1 minute. (2) Add garlic and ginger and cook until onion is transparent. (3) Add tomatoes if you want. (4) Add Cumin, cinnamon, coriander/scram mosak, salt, chillies, (5) Cook for about 3-4 minutes, until it forms a paste. (6) If it gets too dry add water. (7) Add the chickpeas (including water in the cans) and simmer for 15-20 min., or until it looks done. (8) Add cilantro and mix it in before you eat. Now eat and die.
