Subject: Preemptive unilateral calls to beer and drinks of mass destruction....

Hello all. The beer call is coming out early today since I will not be

able to send email for the rest of the day. Should this reduce your

motivation to get to Koerner's? Heck no. I figure that this call will

marinate your willpower for longer and make more of you come to Koerner's

sooner.* :)

* The beer call is abnormally early. I am just trying to justify my

actions....pretty good huh? I might become a grad student yet.

I should also point out some important lessons learned from last week's

trip.

- If you are a guy and you have long hair, make sure you look face to face

at any drunken old men who are singing love songs.

- The beer czar can look like an alcoholic if he arrives before everyone

else and sits by himself drinking from a pitcher of beer.

- Nut Brown, although adored by the czar, is not our established beer of

choice.

- If you are about to sing old Irish tunes make sure there are not drunken

Irish men next to your table, unless you want them to join in.

- Drunken Irish men dancing are funny. :)

Ok so at 5pm in the CICSR atrium, rain or shine, we will be heading off to

the pub. I should also give everyone a head's up: I would like to do a

collaborative top ten next week. The topic is:

TOP TEN WORST CALL TO KOERNER'S LETTERS

A bunch of CS students were joking about this during the BBQ and I would

like to see what people could come up with. Please write as many as you

like but keep the jokes short and sweet. If I do not include what you

wrote, please don't feel bad but I will try and include everything that is

appropriate (and funny). This is quite a challenging little top ten but I

am sure many of you are up to the challenge.

As for this week's list, it is a combination of stuff I thought up this

week and stuff I wrote a LONG time ago (as in second week being czar).
