Before the tutorial, your group will need to:
- Pick one of your videos from the Video I tutorial to use in this tutorial. One person in the group will need to be responsible for bring in the video (on mini DV) to class. You will also need to bring headphones, two pairs would be ideal.
- Start thinking about how you want to organize your 1 minute video. If you want to add music to your video you will need to bring it to the tutorial as an mp3.

Note: This document is intended for submissions to the CHI conference, and as such some of the details (such as file formating requirements) are not relevant to this course. You should be focusing on the general suggestions for what makes a good video.

Adobe Premiere Elements 8 Manual (The Help
Manual serves as a reasonable introduction to
Premiere Elements. Students should skim the
following sections: Capturing Video, Importing
and Adding Media, Arranging Clips in a Movie,
Editing Clips, and Applying Transitions. These
are Chapters 4, 5, 7-9 in the "Help PDF"
version, available at the top left.)

Adobe TV's tutorials for Premiere Elements 8
(These tutorials are more advanced than the
introductory material above. The tutorials/videos
"Mixing Audio" and "Exporting Video Files" will
be relevant.)
