Demo of Interactive Evaluative Argument Summarizer

The multimedia interactive summary was generated from a corpus of 96 reviews.

The Treemap component of the summary allows you to zoom in and out by clicking on rectangles. Double clicking with the left button on a rectangle with sub-rectangles zooms in until that rectangle covers the whole screen. Double clicking with the left button on a rectangle with no sub-rectangles zooms in until the parent of that rectangle covers the whole screen. Right-clicking with the mouse zooms out one level. Upon zooming in to a leaf node, the Treemap should reveal individual rectangles for each sentence about a feature in the hierarchy (labelled e.g. user13-3 for User #13, Sentence 3). Clicking on a rectangle representing a sentence will cause the review in which that sentence occurred to appear in the bottom of the screen. The sentence text will be highlighted. The footnotes in the textual summary serve a similar purpose. Note that some rectangles and their colors may not be completely visible without zooming in.
