Welcome

The 17th Western Canadian Conference on Computing Education, which is run in-cooperation with the ACM Special Interest Group on Computer Science Education (SIGCSE), is a forum for discussing the development of computing programs and curricula and for sharing innovative strategies and tools for teaching and learning in fields such as computer science, computer technology, and information systems. WCCCE 2012 will take place on May 4th and 5th, 2012 and is being hosted by the Department of Computer Science at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC. The conference strives to bring together university and college educators, as well as industry and government representatives who have an interest in computing education.

WCCCE 2012 will run in cooperation with the ACM Special Interest Group on Computer Science Education (SIGCSE). As part of this "in cooperation status" the proceedings will be included in the ACM Digital Library.
