History
The Imager Laboratory for Graphics, Visualization and HCI was established in 1989 by Dr. Alain Fournier and Dr. Kelly Booth at the University of British Columbia. Its original name was the Imager Computer Graphics Laboratory.

The lab's alumni are dispersed all over the globe. Some are faculty members at top universities in Canada and the United States, while others are employees of well known companies. The following is a small sample of companies that employ (or have employed) lab alumni:
