UBC has pyramidal buildings such as the Asian Center
and polyhedral approximations of conic sections, such as the
Sedgewick Library.
(I have forgotten in whose honour the former was built. the latter
honors the random sampling analysis of Clarkson, which used "empty
cones" in algorithms for polyhedral separation.)
