When playing with the Virtual Family Applet, students can pick one of the family members to start with, and choose one of the actions from the drop down menu.  These default actions are already programmed in and serve as examples of conversations the students can create themselves.  For example, Sis' drop down menu looks like this:

We picked the scenario in which Sis comes home and announces she got her bellybutton pierced.  This is how the conversation goes:

1. scene 1 - Sis: I got my bellybutton pierced, wanna see?
2. scene 2 - Dad: You did what???
3. scene 3 - Junior: Cool! Lemme see!
4. scene 4 - Sis: Voila! C'est tres chic, n'est-ce pas? What do you think, Mom?
