For 2007-2009

During the seed project, we will investigate the use of embedded Runge-Kutta methods of relatively low order in an interruptible setting. For robust contact, we will focus on developing efficient algorithms for solving the low dimensional QPs that arise in multibody contact, with a large number of inequality constraints. Finally, for simulation of fluids, we expect to complete the initial work on particle-in-cell methods and the robust surface tracker with explicit meshes. Our investigation of boundary element methods for fluids will begin in tandem.
