CPSC 445 - Questionnaire 1

The purpose of this questionnaire is to help Holger (your instructor) get to know you and learn about your background and motivation for taking this course. Please answer the following questions and send the completed questionnaire along with a picture of yourself (which will help Holger learn names more quickly) to hoos@cs.ubc.ca or bring it with you to our first class.

  2. What UBC programme are you enrolled in (major, minor, ...)?

  3. How long have you been enrolled in this programme?

  4. Which biological topics / questions are you particularly interested in? (Also list your favourite biology courses if you like.)



  5. Which computing science topics / questions are you particularly interested in? (Also list your favourite CS courses if you like.)



  6. Have you previously taken any courses in bioinfomatics? If so, please list them here.



  7. Have you ever worked in a biological laboratory (lab course at UBC, etc.)?


  8. Why are you taking CPSC 445?



  9. What do you expect to learn in CPSC 445?



  10. How many hours per week do you expect to spend on CPSC 445 (preparing for and attending classes, reading, homework assignments, studying, etc.)?
