Abstract

Abstract

RNA Editing by ADAR proteins is a widespread molecular mechanism that expands the diversity of gene products. The development of new sequencing technologies has enormously increased the number of predicted Editing events in recent years, and revealed the potential importance of Editing events in regulating cellular mechanisms. In this presentation, I will talk about the challenges of predicting A-to-I RNA Editing events and explain our proposed pipeline to better understand the interaction between RNA Editing and Alternative Splicing. Finally, I will show some results from applying our pipeline to Drosophila melanogaster data sets.
