Title: Zero-knowledge protocols - when complexity theory meets identity theft
Speaker: Lior Malka from U. Vic.
Abstract Lior plans to give a talk that would have a very practical flavour (addressing identity theft) while at the same time showing some cool tricks from complexity theory (interactive proofs, graph isomorphism). A paper on which the talk is based is attached.

He will also give a 10 minute "news from UVic grads". As a graduate representative he has done many new things in the department, among which is a free internet course for seniors (the first such initiative in N.America).
