UBC CS TR-84-23 Summary

Nystroms Method vs. Founier Tupe Methods for the Numerical Solution of Integral Equations, December 1984 M Trummer and red R.

It is shown that Nystrom's method and Fourier type methods produce the same approximation to a solution of an integral equation at the collocation points for Nystrom's method. The quadrature rule for numerical integration must have these collocation points as abscissa.
